I do believe that in tanzania our public transportation is caused by political problem, and not necessarily a legal problem.

This means that the solution to improving our transportation in our country will probably involve a political process, and it's not only public transportation but also so many issues

I know we have people with good ideas and can do it but because of their own interest it become a problem. People are going in politics to make their life better. Most politicians in tanzania does not qualify for the job.

How can you be in politics at the same time you a business owner?

How can we improve public transportation options in tanzania? Below is what i think should be done:

Lets write letters to our local government representatives. If any one has some idea of what we need to work on just write down.

Lets create a petition calling for more public transportation - ask as many community members as possible to sign on - and give the petition to our government representatives;

If all of us will come up together with questions and solution to our leaders, we will sucessed to improve or change our country.

If we improve our public transportation there are additional advantages to saving on fuel usage, aside from the benefits to the environment. Politics and oil supplies are often uneasy bedfellows: by reducing fuel usage, we will make ur anzania more independent of the major oil-supplying countries who sometimes disrupt our lives by restricting oil. If oil consumption dropped, then it will be less effective to use oil supply as a political weapon

I don't see why we can not improve our public transportation. When i was young I used to ride the UDA bus going to school but i don't see them any more. I don't what happen to them,

Buses and trains will help us overcome congestion especially in dar-es-salaam, reduce carbon emissions, offer far higher fuel efficiency per passenger mile than the average car journey and provide socially inclusive forms of transport.

We need some big company to take over the public transportation in the big city. Every where i go in this world i don't the public transportation operated like we do in tanzania. You won't see dala dala in the middle of the city. They have big buses like uda and they operate perfect. I know we can do it because we have done that before. Here i mean those time of UDA and it was nice except they were of few compared to the demand

KWELI MMENIKUMBUSHA MABASI YA UDA. TUMEYAPANDA SANA SIJUI YALIISHIA WAPI. MASHIRIKA KAMA YALE NDIO YALITAKIWA YANABINAFUSISHWA KWA WAWEKEZAJI NA SERIKALI INASAIDIA KUWAPUNGUZIA GHARAMA ZA UENDESHAJI.

KWELI SISI WATANZANIA UTENDAJI HAMNA KITU KAZI MAJUNGU. MIMI NAOMBA YAAZISHWE TENA HILI TUACHANE NA HAYA MATATIZO TUNAYOKABILIANA NAYO SASA HIVI KAMA VILE NAULI KUBWA, NA KAMA WALIVYOSEMA WENGINE YATATUSAIDIA KUPUNGUZA MAITAJI YA MAFUTA.

ssHow about this
Using public transport are generally synonymous but wider than the advantages of using pooled transport where people get together to undertake the same journey together, in the same vehicle. Also there are benefits for the greater good, such as environmental protection; and for personal gain such as increased safety.

As we can see, everything is to gain nathing to loose believe me. Lets do it, Jk we know your there for us and we do appriciate everything your doing for us tanzanians. God be with you !!

You know why, buses and trains are safer than cars. You are 9 times more likely to die travelling by car than by rail1 plus reduced time spent on maintenance of personal vehicles

Did we know about this my dear brothers and sisters. Now we know, lets improve our public transportation in tanzania for the good of our country

AND, Some people hold that public transport acts to "provide a social service for the poor passengers are in fact overwhelmingly middle-class. This is probably due to the massive benefits of making daily commutes in pooled transport, therefore meaning many businessmen and workers use it.

I am not kiding, go every where in the big city no body use private cars, and that is why the gas price is cheaper compared to poor country like tanzania. I can not believe i am paying $1.38 per gallon (5 liter) in the US, while my family back in tanzania paying 1,500 per litter. What's up with that.

Mwenyekiti naomba picha ya Metro Transit Center and park/ride ambapo wananchi wanaacha magari yao na kupanda basi moja kuelekea makazini ili kupunguza msongamano wa magari.

Hii itawawezesha viongozi wetu kufikiria good future public transportation.

i am in the uk and britain's railways have prospered over the past 10 years. Passenger numbers have risen by 40%, and trains now carry more people than they have in 50 years. I don't think tanzania we are in that position yet but my point is lets think about building the trains transportation in the big city like dar.

I am just saying, so don't get me wrong. Jk kazi yako tunaiona na tunakupongeza kwa juhudi zako.
