Tanzanian Inflation Rate Fell to 13% in March on Fuel, Water

Tanzania's annual inflation rate dropped to 13 percent in March as energy and water costs decreased, said Ephraim Kwesigabo, an economist at the National Bureau of Statistics.

Inflation slowed from 13.3 percent in February, Kwesigabo said today in an interview from the commercial capital, Dar es Salaam. Prices rose 0.6 percent in the month, while energy and water costs declined 0.9 percent, he said.
